Money...

Why do family's fight over money? Let me back up a little. Last Nov. Eric's brother, Jason and his wife had their second baby. A little boy named Noah. Eric and Jason's grandfather called Jason to congratulate him. They were talking and g'pa asked Jason how much he owed on his house. Jason told him :not sure of the exact amount, it was over 100k: Grandpa said "Wouldn't it be nice to own your house?" Jason told him it would be. Grandpa then told him a check would be in the mail tomorrow to pay off his house. Grandpa had also told Jason he wanted to do it for Eric also but we didn't have a house yet. Jason got the check and pd off his house. Feb of this year grandpa passed away. It was a very sad day in our house because Eric was real close with his grandfather. Anyway, we didn't know anything about the money grandpa had given Jason until the day he died. Jason had called here to talk to Eric and that is when he told him. Eric was happy that Grandpa did this for Jason. Grandpa left everything to Eric's dad and his uncle, which included a lot of money. A couple of months ago Jason calls my FIL and asks him when he was going to give Eric his part of the money. FIL says he doesn't know and doesn't know if he will. Jason is pissed! He told Eric that if he would have known that this was going to happen that he would have given him half of the money that grandpa sent to him. Eric and I don't really care about the money, although it would be nice...lol I just hate that my BIL and FIL are fighting over something stupid! Oh and another thing they are fighting over is that FIL always comes to visit us and he has never went to visit Jason. FIL has never seen Jason's boys, Hunter is 4 and Noah is almost a year old. FIL thinks it's a two way street and Jason can bring the boys to IL when he is there visiting. Jason told FIL it's hard traveling with 2 small children, they live in Maine. FIL comes back at him and says Eric did it and still does it! Oy vey! Why can't they all just get along? I hate that money and visiting is coming between them!
