It all ...

started about noon yesterday, my left shoulder starting going numb, my heart was racing and it was also pounding. It felt like it was going to beat right outta my chest. I just laid on the couch. Eric was home for lunch and I told him I didn't feel that great. He told me I should go to the ER and have my blood pressure checked. I said no I think I will be OK. He went back to school/work about 1:00. I was laying there and my whole arm started to feel numb and I was shaky. I told Justin I was going to the ER on the base. I got there and they got me in the room right away. They started hooking me up to machines and put oxygen on me. My blood pressure was still a little high. Then the medic came in and started an IV. Boy did that hurt! I think I am going to have a nasty bruise. I also got a chest x-ray done. They monitored me for about 3 hours. My EKG and my blood tests all came back good. Then the doc told me that he wanted me to go to the hospital in town since the one on base wasn't a full service hospital yet. They are still fixing it up from the hurricane. Doc told me that even though my enzyme test came back good they would still need to do another one in about 6-8 hours to make sure no damage was done to my heart. Then another one would have to be done in the morning along with a stress test. They wanted to keep me over night. He left and then a medic came in for me to sign papers stating I knew I was going to another hospital. I asked him if I was going POV {Privately owned vehicle} and he told me no ambulance. I asked for the phone so I could call Eric. Remember Eric doesn't know I am at the ER. It's about 4:00 so he should be home, if not Justin would be here so I can tell him. I was wrong! No one was home. Then I was getting worried that Jacob was home alone! Here I am laying in the ER hooked up to all these heart machines and I am starting to stress out about Jacob being home alone! The ambulance came to get me and still haven't talked to anyone at home. On the ride to the other hospital my cell phone rings. It's Eric, I tell him what's going on and to come to the hospital. I tell him that I had been trying to call but no answer. He says, yeah Jacob said someone kept bothering him because they kept calling. He won't answer the phone, heck he doesn't even like to talk on the phone. I ask Eric where Justin was and he says he just got home. So I was right, Jacob was home alone for about 30 minutes or more! Justin said he didn't think and left before Jacob got home! I could strangle him sometimes! Anyway, I get to the hospital, they take my vitals and do an EKG. Doc comes in and asks me a bunch of questions. I tell him I felt good and the numbness is gone. While I was at the other hospital they put some nitro paste on my chest. He tells me he doesn't think it's my heart. He said my EKG was perfect and my enzyme test was good. He told me he thought I was just having heart palpitations and told me to follow up with my doc on Thurday. I have an appt. scheduled for Thursday for my halter results. He let me go home. Woohooo! I am so happy I didn't have to stay over night. They told me to go home and relax. We went and got Taco Bell and I laid on the couch watching TV. I didn't sleep very well last night, heck that is everynight. I am going to mention it to my doctor again Thursday. I just want a good night sleep and not have to wake up 10 times a night! This morning I feel a little better but I am tired! Well, I need to get Jacob off to school.
